Tapestry of Delights:
This band burst onto the scene with considerable publicity in 1968 on account of Noel Redding being the bassist with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Landon was a former session singer and also one of The Flowerpot Men. His extensive vocal range gave the band's music much of its flavour. They issued three singles which met with no success in the UK, although Magic Lanterns was a No. 1 hit in Holland and their druggy music featured in these singles and on album tracks like Mr. Moonshine may be of interest to readers.
Noel Redding left the band half way through the second album to go to the States to front a US/UK band called Road. He later formed the Noel Redding Band in 1975. Redding's departure meant disintegration for the band. Leverton joined Juicy Lucy and later became a member of Savoy Brown's Boogie Brother's with Eric Dillon.

Re-upload by request: Zior - Zior [8 bonus tracks] (1971, 2006)

EAC | CD Image | FLAC+CUE+LOG+Covers | 420 mb+3% recovery

Zior had their roots in Southend's early sixties R&B scene. Kevin Bonsor had previously been in a local R&B outfit, The Essex Five, and then classical/rock fusion outfit, Cardboard Orchestra. Pete Brewer had been in another Southend R&B band, The Night Riders. He and Bonsor were Zior's founding members recruiting Truba and Skeels (who'd once played in a London band called The Bum) via a 'Melody Maker' advert.
Zior did have a reputation as a wild live band. They were heavily into Black Magic and Satanic Mass etc. They recorded an album on the Beacon label, later in 1971, which was credited to Monument, though in fact it featured all four members of Zior.

Jeronimo - Time Ride (1972, rem. 2002)

EAC | FLAC TRACKS+CUE+LOG+Covers | 334 mb+3% recovery

Progarchives:
Jeronimo was founded in 1969 and in '69/'70 they had their first two hits "He Ya" and "Na Na Hey Hey". With these two chartbreakers, Jeronimo climbed to the number 1 position in almost all European countries.
In 1970 Jeronimo and "Steppenwolf" toured successfully through Germany and in the same year Jeronimo partook in the legendary "Progressive Pop Festival" in Cologne. Following that, Jeronimo shared the headlines with such groups as "Deep Purple" and "Golden Earring" at various European open-air festivals.
In 1970, Jeronimo, together with Creedence Clearwater, presented the album "Spirit Orgaszmus", which was a success throughout all of Europe.
After 30 years and millions of records sold worldwide, Jeronimo is still cult. In 1999/2000, their hits "Na Na Hey Hey" and "He Ya" were re-released on numerous hit-compilations.
The CD's "Cosmic Blues", "Time Ride" and "Best of" have been available in record stores since 1991.
After numerous negotiations with "the purple record-company" in Frankfurt, Ringo Funk successfully acquired the rights to all of Jeronimo's songs in November of 2000.
In the spring of 2002, 4 new CD's "Jeronimo", "Cosmic Blues", "Time Ride" and "Best of" will be released, which have been digitally mastered from the original recordings. There will be a bonus track on each of the CD's (partially with previously unreleased material).

Re-post: Bergendy - Beat ablak - Világslágerek (1971)

EAC | FLAC TRACKS+CUE+LOG+Covers | 322 mb+3% recovery

Bergendy group was founded in 1960 by a company of students from the University of Budapest: Istvan Bergendy (sax, piano, organ, vocals), Peter Bergendy (flute, sax, vocals), Sandor Hajdu (organ, piano, flute, vocals), Gyorgy Oroszlan (guitar, vocals), Norbert Latzin (piano, organ, guitar, bass, vocals), Bela Casaky (drums, vocals), Karoly Gaspar (bass). Later line-ups also included Czaba Debreceni (drums) and Ferenc Demjen (lead vocals, guitar).
Within two years band became a desired guest for any youth club in Budapest area. Won Grand-prix of 1963 national song festival.
1971 saw the release of Bergendy debut LP. Band adopted comic image (aka clown stage dresses, unusual haircuts, pantomime, etc.), but presented a rather serious and solid blend of jazz, pop and rock in finest traditions of Chicago and Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Released a highly interesting (but obscure) album of cover versions of Western pop and rock standards, remembered mostly because of inclusion of a weird version of Deep Purple 1969 smash Black Night with horns playing main riff. Enjoyed success with three more Hungarian albums in mid-70s.

1. Tramp - részelet (Otis Redding)
2. The Neanderthal Man (Kevin Godley)
3. The Witch (The Rattles)
4. Black Night (Deep Purple)
5. Tip Toe Trou' The Tulips With Me (Tiny Tim)
6. Montego Bay (Bobby Bloom)
7. In The Summertime (Mungo Jerry)
8. Aquarius, Let The Sunshine In (The Fifth Dimension)
9. My Sweet Lord (George Harrison)
10. 25 Or 6 To 4 (Chicago)
11. Gimme Dat Ding (The Pipkins)
12. Show Me Your Hand (White Plains)
13. Dizzy (Tommy Roe)

Breakout (Poland) - NOL [Niezidentyfikowany objekt latajacy] (1976, 2005)

EAC | CD Image | FLAC+CUE+LOG+Covers | 290 mb+3% recovery

8th album by brilliant Polish ensemble Breakout formed and led by guitarist / vocalist / composer Tadeusz Nalepa. Breakout was formed in 1968 after Nalepa decided to change the name of his previous group Blackout and reformed it under the new name. The group was fronted by vocalist Mira Kubasinska, one of the first great female performers of the Polish Rock scene, and also included on this album keyboardist Bogdan Lewandowski, bassist Zbigniew Wypych and drummer Andrzej Tylec. Nalepa's musical background was deeply rooted in Blues, and much of the group's material was in fact Blues-Rock based, but Prog and Psychedelic influences turned Breakout into one of the most formidable East European groups ever, with a broad range of cross-genre musical activities. Breakout had an immense influence on the Polish, as well as the entire East European music scene, serving as a beacon to generations of musicians living behind the Iron Curtain. In their native country Breakout was often criticized by the Socialist regime for idealizing Western culture and their music was banned from the media during the peak of the "dark age" repressions in the late 1960, which eventually only increased the following the group enjoyed among the young generation. Nalepa, who composed all of the group's music, worked closely with lyricist / poet Bogdan Loebl, who supplied the band with highly intelligent and often controversial lyrics, way above the usual level of Rock lyrics used in Rock at the time. In retrospect this is a timeless classic and any connoisseur of East European Rock / Prog will find it phenomenal. Brilliant stuff!
